The Story Behind the New Saint Piran White Collection
By Lucy Cox, Commercial Manager, Saint Piran
When people ask me what inspired our new white Saint Piran jersey, theyโre often expecting me to talk about colours, fabrics or the latest design trends.
The truth is, the inspiration came from people.
Over the past year Iโve been incredibly fortunate to spend time with riders from all over the UK and Europe. Whether thatโs representing Saint Piran at industry networking events in Germany, riding with local clubs across Cornwall, racing as a GB Age Group triathlete, or simply chatting over coffee after a Sunday ride, one thing has become incredibly clear.
Cycling has never felt more connected.
No matter where you go, the bike is the common language.
More Than a Jersey
One weekend Iโm riding with one of Cornwallโs fantastic cycling clubs. The next Iโm sat with some of the biggest cycling brands in Europe discussing where the industry is heading.
Different disciplines.
Different abilities.
Different countries.
Yet we all share the same passion.
Those conversations inspired me just as much as the miles on the bike.
Because the best cycling brands donโt just make products.
They help people feel like they belong.
Thatโs exactly what we wanted this collection to do.
Not simply create another jersey.
Create something people are genuinely proud to wear.
The Original Changed Everything
Long before I joined Saint Piran, the original black jersey became iconic.
It challenged what a professional cycling jersey could look like.
Rather than being covered in sponsor logos, it celebrated Cornwall. It represented an identity first and became instantly recognisable in the peloton and beyond.
Years later, I still see those jerseys everywhere.
On local chain gangs.
At cafรฉ rides.
On Alpine climbs.
During sportives.
At triathlons.
At national championships.
For many riders, wearing Saint Piran has become about being part of something much bigger than a race team.
That isnโt something you redesign.
Itโs something you respect.
So, Why White?
Because itโs probably the last colour people expected from Saint Piran.
For years weโve been known for black. Itโs become part of our identityโbold, unmistakable and instantly recognisable wherever people ride.
Which is exactly why white felt right.
Not because we wanted to move away from our roots, but because great brands arenโt afraid to evolve.
Thereโs another reason too.
Cycling is changing.
Here in the UK weโre experiencing more long, hot summer riding days than ever before. Anyone whoโs spent hours climbing in a black jersey knows that every little advantage counts.
White reflects more heat, feels cooler in the summer sun and perfectly suits the riding many of us are doing todayโfrom cafรฉ rides and club runs to sportives, racing and long days exploring Cornwallโs incredible roads.
So this wasnโt simply a design decision.
It was a practical one.
Weโve worked with Bioracer for years and turning an idea into reality has become second nature. We know what performs. We know what fits. Most importantly, we know what represents Saint Piran.
The same premium Bioracer performance.
The same Saint Piran DNA.
Simply reimagined for the next chapter.
Creating Kit Thatโs Hard to Ignore

That phrase has quietly become our design philosophy.
Not because we want people to stare.
But because cycling is full of stories.
The jersey you wear becomes part of those stories.
The first sportive you finished.
The cafรฉ stop with friends.
The race where everything clicked.
The holiday climb youโll never forget.
The Sunday ride that became a tradition.
Great kit becomes part of your memories.
Thatโs what weโre trying to create.
Not just performance apparel.
Something that means something.
Inspired by Community
One of the things I love most about cycling is that you donโt have to belong to just one community.
Iโm incredibly proud to represent Saint Piran, but Iโm equally proud to ride alongside cyclists from clubs across Cornwall.
Because thatโs what makes our cycling community so special.
Different jerseys.
Different clubs.
Different ambitions.
The same shared passion.
The more people I meet, the more events I attend and the more conversations I have across the cycling industry, the more convinced I become that weโre entering one of the most exciting periods the sport has ever seen.
People want connection.
They want community.
They want to wear brands that stand for something.
If this jersey represents anything, I hope itโs that.
Not just Saint Piran.
But every rider whoโs part of this incredible cycling community.
The Next Chapter Starts Soon
The original black jersey will always be our Original.
It helped define who Saint Piran is today.
The White Collection isnโt replacing that legacy.
Itโs building on it.
Available in approximately 6โ8 weeks, this collection marks the next chapter in the Saint Piran story.
A story inspired by Cornwall.
Driven by community.
Designed for riders who want to do things differently.
Because our mission hasnโt changed.
Weโre creating kit thatโs hard to ignore.
See you on the road.
