Measuring Instructions
To ensure the best fit for your RideWrap Wheel Protection, please follow these steps before ordering:
1. Find Your Measuring Device:
The ideal tool is a cloth or flexible measuring tape with millimeter increments. A cloth measuring tape will conform to the shape of your rim and provide the most accurate measurement.
If you don’t have a cloth measuring tape, you can use a piece of string, wire, or a shifter cable. Measure with this, then place it alongside a rigid ruler or measuring tape to determine the measurement.
2. Grab Your Wheel:
For maximum coverage, start by measuring from the outer edge of the spoke nipple (or nipple eyelet, if your rim has one) down to the bead—the point just before the rim begins to curve toward the tire. Note: spoke holes can be staggered, please check a few to ensure you have the minimum width.
This measurement will allow us to determine the maximum coverage your rim can accommodate, providing us with the exact dimensions needed for fitment.
3. Driveside & Non-Driveside:
Measure both sides of your wheel, as some wheels are asymmetrical and may have different measurements on each side. Input these into the respective selectors.
4. Repeat:
Follow Steps 1-3 for your second wheel if applicable.
**IMPORTANT**
RideWrap software automatically accounts for a small gap on both the bead and nipple sides, ensuring optimal coverage while allowing space for installation. Please be sure you measure the actual size of your rim, rather than the amount of coverage you want.
By following these steps, you'll help us create the perfect protection kit for your wheels!
