HOW DO WE GET A QUOTE?

Email schools@saintpiran.co.uk or call 07476 101018 with a rough idea of numbers and ages. We'll send a written quote with model and size recommendations, lead times and a clear breakdown. There's no obligation to order.

IS THE SCHOOL PRICE REALLY BELOW RETAIL?

Yes. The Marlin 4 is ยฃ399 against ยฃ525 retail โ€” a saving of ยฃ126 per bike, around 24% below standard price. The more bikes in your order, the larger the total saving. Your quote shows the retail comparison in full.

WHAT SIZES DO THE BIKES COME IN?

The Marlin range runs across multiple frame sizes covering most secondary-age riders, with smaller-wheel options for younger cohorts. Tell us the age range and rough heights and we'll specify the right mix so every pupil gets a bike that fits.

ARE THE BIKES ASSEMBLEDOR BOXED?

Bikes are supplied boxed, which keeps the price down and protects them in transit. Our mechanic assembles and safety-checks every bike on your first on-site visit.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MARLIN 4 AND 5?

Both share the same tough, trail-ready Trek frame and lifetime frame warranty. The Marlin 5 adds an upgraded drivetrain and stronger braking โ€” worth it for heavier use, older pupils or longer rides. For most school fleets the Marlin 4 is the sweet spot.

WHAT WARRANTYCOMES WITH THE BIKES?

Every Trek frame carries Trek's lifetime frame warranty. Components are covered by their manufacturer warranties. As your local workshop, we handle any claims for you rather than sending you to a call centre.

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENS ON A MECHANIC VISIT?

A qualified mechanic comes to you for the day (ยฃ500 +VAT). They assemble new bikes, service your existing fleet, bring demo bikes for pupils to try, size and supply helmets, and leave a written fleet report for your governors โ€” plus social content for your channels. We recommend twice a year; ยฃ1,000 a year gives complete cover.

WHAT ARE THE LEAD TIMES?

Stock is forward-ordered, so we recommend placing orders 4โ€“6 weeks ahead, especially before a new term. Your delivery date is confirmed in writing when you order.

CAN WE TRADE IN OR SELL BACK OUR OLD BIKES?

Yes. We'll take old bikes in part-exchange against new Treks, or buy them back outright. Each bike is valued case by case on age, condition and model, and we confirm the figure in writing before you commit. Mention your current bikes when you enquire.

DO YOU SERVICE BIKES WE ALREADY OWN INCLUDING OTHER BRANDS?

We do. We service all makes, not just Trek, and can fold your existing fleet into the same visit. If you'd like ongoing cover, the twice-yearly mechanic visit keeps everything road- and trail-ready.

HOW IS THIS FUNDED, AND HOW DOES VAT WORK?

Schools commonly fund fleets through PE & Sport Premium, PTA or capital budgets โ€” we can't advise on eligibility, but we'll provide a formal quote and invoice against a purchase order. Bike prices include VAT; mechanic days are quoted +VAT.

WHICH AREAS OF CORNWALL DO YOU COVER?

All of it. We're based in Redruth and already work with schools across the county. Wherever you are in Cornwall, we can supply, deliver and visit.

ARE THE HELMETS SAFE AND PROPERLY FITTED?

Both helmet models meet the EN 1078 safety standard and come in sizes for every age. They're sized on each pupil during the mechanic visit, so nothing is guessed or arrives wrong.
